This is not a party house. It’s a place to come and relax in. We have friends and neighbours we want to keep happy.
We welcome one well-behaved pet! Please bring appropriate bedding and towels to keep them off the furniture. Kindly refrain from leaving your pet unattended in the house. (Most places in Margate are pet-friendly!)
This is a full time Airbnb and not someone’s home so the kitchen might not be as well equipped for big dinners. If you’re preparing big meals please bring extra specialist equipment.
The house includes one bathroom, which has a separate shower in the same room and an extra separate toilet
Note- we hope everything is satisfactory on arrival any issues need to be communicated through the Airbnb portal straight away and we can try our best to rectify the issue immediately
Please be aware that our strict cancellation policy remains in effect regardless of the reason for your cancellation. If you are unable to attend and we secure another booking in your place, we will refund the cancellation fee, minus any applicable Airbnb charges.
Clift House is a historic Georgian property featuring original floorboards and exposed brickwork, which some guests may view as unfinished. We believe these elements add character and charm to the home.
For guests with young babies or toddlers, note that the stairs and floorboards throughout the house are uncarpeted, with small gaps and a few uneven areas, which may feel less suitable for very young children.
The whole house is for use solely by the guests.
Kate or a member of her team is on hand during your stay. Please keep all messaging to the Airbnb portal. These messaging are constantly monitored.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a cozy TV room with ample seating.
The first floor boasts a stylish bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath, a separate shower cubicle, twin sinks, and a toilet. Additionally, there’s a separate toilet on the ground floor for your convenience.
